Art and Focus

From pure painting to commercial practice, creation at its core is focused attention—a full release of energy and intent. “Once you step into design, there's no way back. Do the work you truly want to do,” says Professor Chen.

Bridging Gaps and Giving Back

For Professor Chen, seeking out gaps in Taiwan's art and design landscape is both a promise to the field and a path of self-growth. Art and design flourish when they're nourished by soul and a distinct personal voice. Even where national differences shape cultural identity, we should cultivate work that draws strength from those differences and carries our own cultural signature.

Under the Gloss: Trials and Grit

Students from Yuan Ze's Information Communication program may project a sleek, high-gloss image. Strip away the sheen, and you'll meet challenges as unforgiving as extreme sports—tests of your thinking and your will. If you want to join, let genuine passion steer your willpower at full throttle. And if you're already here, the journey may leave you with more than a few scars, but on the far side of the finish line it will have stamped your resolve with a mark of strength.
